Community Guidelines

Find A Hand only works when everyone treats each other with respect. These guidelines apply to all Customers and Helpers.

Respectful communication

Treat people the way you'd like to be treated. Be polite in messages, on-site visits and in reviews. Discriminatory language, hate speech or threats are never acceptable.

Honest profiles

Use your real name, real photo and an accurate description of your skills and experience. Don't claim qualifications, insurance or verifications you don't have.

Genuine reviews

Reviews must reflect real jobs and your honest experience. Don't buy, swap, solicit or threaten reviews. We may remove reviews that breach this rule and suspend accounts that abuse the review system.

No scams or fraud

Sharing payment links, asking for bank transfers up-front, fake jobs, identity fraud or chargeback abuse will result in immediate removal. Always agree payment in person after a job is completed — Find A Hand chat blocks payment links for your safety.

No harassment

Repeated unwanted contact, sexual harassment, stalking, threats and intimidation are banned. Use the block button on any user's profile and report them to us.

No illegal services

Don't post or accept jobs that involve illegal activity, regulated work you aren't qualified to do (gas, electrical certification, asbestos, etc.), weapons, drugs, or anything that endangers others.

Reporting process

Use the Report link on any profile, job or message, or email complaints@findahand.co.uk. We acknowledge reports within 24 hours and investigate confidentially.

Enforcement actions

Depending on severity we may warn you, remove content, restrict features, suspend or permanently terminate your account. Serious or illegal behaviour will be referred to the police.

Find A Hand is a marketplace connecting people who need help with independent local Helpers. We do not employ Helpers, supervise the work performed, or guarantee services provided by users.
